The Company

HBG is a real estate company focusing on residential project developments in the metropolitan regions of Hamburg and Berlin. The HBG team consists of competent project developers, real estate economists and architects.

Our goal is to create sustainable values and living spaces as well as to promote private owned residential property.

Focus of Development

As an independent, equity-financed property developer our key areas of development include:

  • New condominium buildings
  • Sustainable modernisation and prompt assessment of existing properties and their transformation into condominiums
  • Conversion of office and industrial properties into innovative living spaces
  • Long-term investment real estate

Focus, Vision and Values

Our project choices concentrate on micro-locations, and on the development of attributes which will offer our future buyers the very best in living quality and investment security, whether it is a long-term investment for family generations to come or a medium-term resale.

With our projects we co-ordinate closely with the respective urban planning, monument protection and building authorities and in our activities we consider the harmony with the respective district culture, the social surroundings and the architectural conditions of the neighbourhood. Existing tenants remain in their unit on existing properties or if desired receive significant, socially acceptable compensations.

The creation of new values and the development of unique living spaces are our passion.

Competence through Experience

Our goal is to create sustainable values and living spaces as well as to promote private owned residential property.

The HBG team consists of competent project developers, real estate and banking professionals as well as civil engineers with a combined professional experience of more than 100 years.

The Managing Director

The managing director, Mr Burghardt Schuldt, has more than 25 years of experience. Mr Schuldt is a former member of the GSG9 and began his career as a project developer in 1990 in the then “new” Federal states for the German private bank M.M.Warburg. Over the course of his career Mr Schuldt took charge of national projects with a volume of almost two billion euros. In Hamburg, for example, he was responsible for the politically sensitive transformation and urban development of the “Gewürzwerke Laue” in the so-called Schanzenviertel. Here, on the former commercial area, hundreds of new dwellings and numerous retail spaces emerged, which laid the foundation for the district that is so popular today.

Privately, the passionate mountain climber lives in the flat countryside surrounding Hamburg, has two children, three grandchildren and promotes the Institute for Ancient Chinese Forms of Concentration and Movement (Qigong).
